Unlike Guanacaste’s dry season/rainy season split, the Caribbean South stays warm and humid pretty much year-round, with rain that can show up any month — often in short, refreshing bursts rather than all-day downpours.
That humidity is exactly what keeps the rainforest so lush, the rivers full, and the wildlife so active. Pack light layers, a good rain jacket, and the right mindset: a little rain here just means the jungle is doing its thing.
The Food Alone Is Worth the Trip
